Download the file called CompShape_03.zip and extract the files to your hard disk, and then double-click on the HTML file to play the video in your browser.  

For compound shapes to be most flexible you must also learn to use the Detach option to remove splines from shapes and turn them into new independent shapes with their own names.  Again, this editing ability is especially useful when importing 2D information from CAD files.
