Schedules being what they may, I got myself tied up in a little bit of book work that I hadn't planned on and, therefore, haven't gotten to the blog topics that I wanted to.
I'll be flying out to Las Vegas tomorrow and hope to see a fair number of you at Autodesk University. Please make the effort to come up and let me know whether you enjoy the blog and what you might like to see for topics.
This year's Autodesk University had around 7000 attendees at the last count that I heard. If the organization is as good as it's been in the past it should be a great week for everyone. A new venue is the Venetian Hotel which I presume means that the conferences will be held in the Sands Convention center which should pose no logistical problems for a crowd of this size. I'd have to say that this is my favorite gathering of the year, certainly due to the quality of classes, but also the networking that takes place between Autodesk software users between classes and at after hour events.
When I return in early December I plan to extend my compound shape discussions into an example of the workflow I tend to use for architectural work. The scope of the project will be very simple so that it works well and will focus on a small building that will illustrate practical use of many of the concepts and techniques introduced in the blogs up to this point.
See you in Las Vegas
Ted
