I just wanted to sign-on and let you know that there will be a slight pause in the recent stream of video tutorials for two reasons; I have a cold and you don't need to hear me cough every two minutes, and the rent is near due!
I'll pick up the thread as soon as I can and continue with a small building. In the meantime I've placed a couple of new photos on my website photo page at www.tbmax.com that I snapped on Route 1 in Kennebunk, Maine last weekend. It's something I've meant to do for quite a while and just getting around to it and it's the type of place I could spend a week poking around in and not get bored.
Thanks
Ted

Re: Monologue: A Pause in the Video Tutorials
Ted,
These video tutorials are fantastic! I just want to thank you for taking the time to freely share your hard earned experience with us. I have been banging around in Viz for years now and, like the weekend golfer who can smash out 350 yard drives but, as often as not, ends up sliceing the ball deep into the trees, I'm in desperate need of good fundamentals. but usually only have time to figure out one way (unlikely to be the most efficient way) to get the model I need and then pray that I will have enough time to get a half way decent render before time and budget run out. Then... it might be mounths before I get the chance to use Viz again. So, I really appreciate your gourmet tips on how to best use the basic functions, somthing that is very hard, if not impossible, to do on one's own. So, again, thankyou much for your generousity - I really look forward to future tutorials. John Re: Re: Monologue: A Pause in the Video Tutorials

Hi John, Very good analogy! :) Thanks for letting me know that these have been of some value to you. It's difficult to write (speak) tutorials that have a global usefulness, which is why you don't see many "advanced" tutorials, and I try to help you find the tools that you can put into use with these simple examples. They won't keep you out of the woods entirely, but they'll help make the short game more productive. I'm going to try to get back to the next installment, soon. Thanks again Ted Re: Re: Re: Monologue: A Pause in the Video Tutorials

Hi guys, I am ney to arch viz, learning long and hard!
But I can'd download the tuts (although I made an account) - the FTP is pass protected. Any clues to what's wrong? :) Thanks, and thanks Ted! Re: Re: Re: Re: Monologue: A Pause in the Video Tutorials

Hi Glacierise, I'm not sure what's up. I just tried clicking a link on the Garage Doors and it let me right in and I haven't heard of any others having trouble this week. Have you tried more than one tutorial link? When it asks for a password, try letmein and see if that works. I'll play with it on this end. Sorry...we'll get it :) Ted Trackbacks
