Download the file called VIZUsers_tips.zip and extract the file to your hard drive.  Then double-click the HTML file to play the video back in your browser.

The latest versions of VIZ have some presets that make it easier to demonstrate VIZ to new users by making it look easy to use the software.  However, it's imperative that you learn how the program works to take advantage of these presets.  By  disabling VIZ presets and then continuing with the Materials Editor and Mapping tutorials you'll learn the workflow that allows your full control of your work.

I also recommend that you only use Architectural material type when it makes sense to do so (you learn when that is in production).  There is a sample scene supplied with Revit of a residential exterior that, on my machine, renders in 32 seconds with default gray materials on all objects except glass on the windows.  Simply by substituting the Architectural materials with Standard materials  the rendering time on my machine drops to two seconds  with no noticeable difference in the render quality.

Max users are not hindered by these presets.

Good luck and have fun
